Batemans Bay - Visitor Information

Batemans Bay is the largest town in the Eurobodalla region. The area is known as ‘the land of many waters’ and it’s easy to see why with over 130 kilometres of coastline, 83 beaches, 4 major rivers systems and 20 lakes. So if water sports and activities are your thing then you’ve certainly come to the right place!

This region has variety of tourist attractions and activities, not to mention picturesque countryside and spectacular coastal scenery from South Durras, Nelligen, Mogo, Broulee, Moruya, Narooma, Tilba Tilba to famous Montague Island. Swimming, Snorkelling, Diving, Kayaking and Boating

Eurobodalla on the South Coast of NSW certainly lives up to its reputation as the ‘land of many waters’ with a range of water based activities available all along the coast.

In Batemans Bay you can:
  • swim at your favourite beach (some are patrolled in season)
  • snorkel and marvel at the marine life
  • go scuba diving - either on a tour or bring your own equipment
  • hire a kayak or join a tour - some depart Corrigans Beach opposite Corrigans Cove
  • hire a boat and wet a line or bring your own vessel there’s plenty of boat ramps to launch from

There are walks rated easy through to moderate and hard. For an easy paced walk you could try the Mangrove Walk at Cullendulla Creek Nature Reserve in north Batemans Bay or for something more challenging try Durras Mountain in Murramarang National Park.
